Harmony Day 2021

Turner School will be celebrating Harmony Week with a whole school assembly on Thursday 18 March 2021. Students are invited to wear orange to school. This is a day where we recognise and celebrate the diversity that makes up our school, our community and our country, but is also something you will see happening every day within our school.

On this day we encourage the students to wear either traditional dress or orange to school (it is NOT casual dress). Harmony Week coincides with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on the 21 March. It has been celebrated in Australia for 20 years and each year grouping will be participating in an activity that will revolve around books that look at diversity and harmony as their themes.

Access to Parent Portal and Sentral for Parents app is via your ACT Digital Account. If you still need to register, use this Parent Portal access link and log in or create your ACT Digital Account. You will need your access key, which you should have received by email when we launched.

If you have any questions, please contact the Front Office at tnrp@turners.act.edu.au or on 61422430.

Parent Portal is a secure online platform used to share student information between you and your child’s teachers.

Use Parent Portal to:

  • notify us if your child is sick or explain an absence
  • receive academic reports
  • receive our school newsletter
  • receive messages from your child’s teachers
  • make payments

Parent Portal is used by all ACT public schools from preschool through to year 12. If you have children at other ACT public schools, you don’t need to sign up to the system twice. You can access their information from one account.

You can also access Parent Portal through the Sentral for Parents app. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store.

If you would like to access Parent Portal via a web browser on your mobile phone, tablet or computer, use this Parent Portal access link. When you are logged into Parent Portal, we recommend saving the browser as a favourite or to the homepage on your mobile phone for quick access in the future.
