Cross Country Report

A drizzly autumn Thursday saw Turner students from Kindy to Year 6 participate in the annual cross country carnival on the oval and around the school grounds.

With events ranging from 500m through to 3000m, Kindergarten and Year 1/2 students got the carnival going. A big congratulations to the many Year 6 students that ran with the younger students, encouraging and supporting them to complete their courses. What outstanding leadership!

As the drizzle came and went, 8yrs through to 12yrs students went through their paces, with lots of effort and determination on display. Congratulations to all students that had a go and gave it their best effort. Thanks to the many parents and supporters that came to encourage the runners.

Special thanks to Nick for taking the lead in coordinating and planning the event, and to all members of staff and interns that acted in an official capacity. Congratulations to Stonehaven for winning the cross country trophy for 2021, edging out Isaacs by a very narrow 3 point margin.
